PURE SKYRUNNING ABOVE THE ARCTIC CIRCLE
HAMPEROKKEN SKYRACE - 57 KM

Tromsdalstind Skyrace will also take place on Saturday, August 6th, 2022. The race follows the same course as the Hamperokken Skyrace to the summit of the iconic Tromsdalstind (1238 m.a.s.). The course is less technical than the Hamperokken Skyrace, but still provides a variation of soft trail, open terrain, rocking terrain and a scenic ridge.
BØNNTUVA RACE - 18 KM
Saturday, August 6th 11:15 AM
The race follows the first 9 km of both the Hamperokken og Tromsdalstind races, before turning around on the summit of Bønntuva. The course follows popular trails and provides great views of the mountains, sea, and the city of Tromsø. This race is a great introduction to mountain running and can be done as a race, or as a hike together with friends.
BLÅMANN VERTICAL KM
Thursday, August 4th 6:00 PM
The races starts by the sea and climbs to the summit of Blåmann, one of the most iconic peaks on Kvaløya. Amazing views await finishers at the summit. The course consists of some trail, but mostly rocky terrain and some scrambling.
Tromsø Skyrace was started in 2014 by Kilian Jornet and Emelie Forsberg. After spending time in the Tromsø area, the two of them wanted to create a race that followed the soul of sky running. Participants must have a combination of endurance, speed and mountaineering skills and knowledge to complete the course linking technical summits.
